📖  God’s Will Isn’t a Career—It’s a Postured Heart

July 6, 2025, 5:41 PM

I can’t count how many times I’ve heard someone say,

“I can’t wait until I make money like you, so I can serve others.”

But friend, serving others doesn’t start when your bank account grows. God’s will for your life was never rooted in your income, your job title, or how “successful” the world says you are.

Yes, God has blessed me with resources. And I use them to help others and support ministry—but those are blessings, not the will. That’s fruit from the tree, not the root.

The true will of God for our lives is not a career path—it’s a postured heart. A heart that says, “Here I am, Lord. Use me. Whether I’m wealthy or poor, able-bodied or broken, in the workplace or in the waiting.”

If I were to lose everything tomorrow—my job, my health, my finances—God’s will for my life would still stand. Because it was never tied to what I do, but to who I am in Him.

💬 “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

💬 “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people.” — Colossians 3:23

Don’t wait for the “right time” to serve or love others. Don’t believe the lie that your calling is delayed until you “have more.”

God’s will starts the moment your heart is surrendered.
