Sometimes, the very things that make us strong—being resourceful, intelligent, experienced—can also become the things that trip us up. We get used to fixing things, solving problems, and pushing through on our own. But what happens when we hit something that can’t be solved by hustle or skill?
I was just talking with a brother yesterday about how God will lovingly place us in situations where our resourcefulness isn’t enough—not to punish us, but to remind us: we still need Him. He never designed us to do life on our own. Even when we’re capable, we’re not called to be self-sufficient—we’re called to be God-dependent.
2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” It’s in our weakest, most uncertain moments that His power shows up strongest. So if you’re facing something today that seems bigger than you—it’s probably because it is. And that’s okay. You weren’t meant to carry it alone.
Lean in. Let go. And let God do what only He can do.
