Cheerful Giving

Scripture:
“Each should give according to what he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7 (CJB)

Reflection:
When we give, God isn’t looking at the size of the gift—He’s looking at the posture of our hearts. We aren’t called to give out of pressure, guilt, or obligation. We give because He first gave to us. Every blessing, every resource, every opportunity we have comes from His hand.
And when we choose to pour out those blessings onto others freely, joyfully, and without expecting anything in return, we reflect the very heart of our Father. True generosity is an act of love—one that echoes the generosity of Messiah, who gave everything for us.

Encouragement:
Let your giving today be a song of gratitude. Give with joy, with openness, and with trust that God can do far more with what you release than you could ever do by holding it back. When you give cheerfully, you plant seeds that grow into hope, healing, and transformation in the lives of others—and God delights in that.
