Don’t Just Remember the Cross—Know the Man Who Hung on It
Scripture (CJB):
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in that the Messiah died on our behalf while we were still sinners.” — Romans 5:8
Reflection:
Today, many will pause to reflect on the crucifixion—on the pain, the suffering, and the sacrifice. And rightfully so. What Jesus Christ endured was brutal, intentional, and done out of love.
But let me ask you something…
If you found out someone willingly stepped in to die in your place—took the punishment that was meant for you—would you just acknowledge what they did… or would you want to know them?
Who are they?
Why would they do that for me?
What kind of love is this?
That’s what communion with Christ is about.
It’s not just remembering the sacrifice.
It’s entering into relationship with the One who made it.
He didn’t just die for you…
He desires to walk with you.
The cross was not the end of a story—it was the invitation into one.
Encouragement:
Don’t let today stop at reflection—let it lead to connection.
Sit with Him. Talk to Him. Ask Him to reveal His heart to you.
Because the One who took your place isn’t distant—He’s near, and He’s inviting you into communion with Him.
