From “I” to the Holy Spirit

Too often we say, “I want,” “I will,” or “I think.” While there is nothing wrong with making plans, as followers of Christ we are called to surrender our desires, our will, and even our thoughts to Him.

What if, before every decision, we paused and asked:

• Holy Spirit, what do You want?
• Holy Spirit, what is Your will?
• Holy Spirit, what are You leading me to think and do?

When we replace our own agenda with God’s direction, we stop chasing what feels right and begin walking in what is right. The Holy Spirit doesn’t simply improve our plans—He transforms our hearts so that our desires begin to reflect His.

Today, before you say, “I want,” “I will,” or “I think,” ask the Holy Spirit to lead your wants, your will, and your thoughts. A surrendered life is a Spirit-led life.
