God sees the struggles you hide from the world
Scripture:
“People look at the outward appearance, but Adonai looks at the heart.”
— 1 Samuel 16:7 (CJB)
Reflection:
There are battles we fight that no one else ever sees — the doubts, the weariness, the moments we feel like we’re holding everything together with our last ounce of strength. But the beautiful truth is this: God sees every hidden tear, every quiet prayer, every unspoken fear.
Just as He reminded Samuel that humans only see the outside, God reminds you that He fully knows your heart — the parts you show and the parts you don’t. And He doesn’t turn away. He leans in. He draws near. Scripture says He is “close to the brokenhearted,” not just the visibly broken, but the secretly hurting too.
Nothing you carry in silence is unseen by heaven. Nothing you endure alone goes unnoticed by your Father. He sees. He understands. And He strengthens you right in the places no one else knows about.
Encouragement:
Take a breath today and rest in this promise: Your hidden struggles are held by God’s visible hands. Bring them to Him. Trust Him with what you can’t voice. The One who sees your heart is the One who sustains your life.
