Grace Starts at Home
Scripture:
“Instead, be kind to one another, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah God has also forgiven you.”
— Ephesians 4:32 (CJB)
Reflection:
It’s often easier to show grace to strangers because they haven’t hurt us, disappointed us, or rubbed against our pride. But the people closest to us—our spouse, family, brothers, sisters, and friends—see our rough edges, and we see theirs. That’s where grace gets tested. Yet that’s also where it matters most. Grace isn’t proven in distance; it’s revealed in closeness.
Encouragement:
If God has poured out grace on us when we least deserved it, we can extend that same grace to those nearest to our hearts. Today, choose patience over frustration, mercy over offense, and love over being right. Grace given at home becomes a testimony the world can’t ignore. As Scripture reminds us, love covers many offenses, and grace keeps relationships alive.
