Letting Go of the Crutches

Sometimes we feel broken and think, “Nobody can fix me.” And honestly, in our own strength, that may be true. But with God, nothing is impossible. He can heal and restore anything—if we’re willing to let go of what’s broken.

It’s like having a broken leg. The doctor sets it, heals it, and tells you, “You’re ready to walk again.” But instead of walking, you keep using the crutches. Not because you need them anymore, but because you’re afraid to let them go.

Is there anything in your life that God has already healed, but you’re still clinging to the crutches? Old habits, pain, or fear that He’s already restored—but you just haven’t accepted His healing?

Sometimes healing doesn’t just come when God fixes us—it comes when we accept it. So, if you feel broken today, turn to Him, look in the mirror, and ask: “Have I truly let it go?”

Scripture reminder:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3, CJB)
