Prepared for the Day
Scripture (CJB):
“Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him; then he will level your paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6
Reflection:
Too often we start our day praying for everything to go right—asking for a perfect, problem-free day. But that mindset can quietly set us up for frustration, because life will happen. Challenges will come. Situations will arise that are outside of our control.
Being prepared for the day isn’t about avoiding difficulty—it’s about being rooted in the Word and ready in spirit.
Instead of praying for a day where nothing goes wrong, we should pray for a heart that is ready for anything. A heart that turns to God in every moment, every decision, and every response. When we begin our day in His presence, we’re not surprised by life—we’re equipped for it.
A “perfect” day isn’t one without problems—it’s one where we walk through every situation with God.
Encouragement:
Today, don’t ask for a perfect day—ask for a prepared heart.
Invite God into every step, every decision, and every reaction.
You don’t have to control the day… just stay connected to the One who does.
