Redirection
Scripture:
“A person may plan his own way, but Adonai directs his steps.”
—Proverbs 16:9 (CJB)
Reflection:
Sometimes what feels like delay, disruption, or even disappointment is not God saying no—it’s God saying this way instead. Redirection is not rejection. It is often protection, correction, or preparation for something greater than what we originally wanted or understood.
We tend to see redirection as loss because it moves us away from what we were comfortable with. But God sees the full path. He knows where a road leads before we ever take the first step. When He redirects us, it’s because the path ahead without Him would cost more than we realize.
Encouragement:
If God is redirecting your steps, don’t resist it—trust it. Let Him guide you, even when the way forward feels unfamiliar. Obedience in the moment brings clarity in time. Stay sensitive to His voice, anchored in His Word, and willing to follow where He leads.
The safest place you can be is not where you planned to go—but where God is leading you.
