Sometimes you have to disconnect to reconnect.
Scripture:
“Stop being so busy! Know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (CJB)
Reflection:
Life has a way of pulling us in a hundred different directions—noise, responsibilities, expectations, and constant connection to everything around us. But in the middle of all that movement, our spirit can quietly drift from the One who matters most.
There are moments when stepping away isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom. Disconnecting from distractions, from the voices of the world, and even from our own anxious thoughts creates space for something deeper. It allows us to reconnect with God, with truth, and with the purpose He’s placed inside us.
Jesus Himself often withdrew from the crowds to be alone with the Father. If He needed that time, how much more do we?
Encouragement:
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or distant from God, don’t ignore it. Step away for a moment. Turn down the noise. Open His Word. Sit in His presence.
Sometimes the breakthrough you’re seeking doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from being still.
