Trusting God When Life Feels Overwhelming
Scripture:
“Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding.”
— Mishlei (Proverbs) 3:5 CJB
Reflection:
There are seasons when life feels like it’s pressing in from every side—bills, responsibilities, uncertainty, the needs of your family, and the weight of the unknown. In those moments, panic tries to rise, anxiety creeps in, and fear whispers that there’s no way out. Yet, these are the very moments when trust is tested and faith is refined.
We often forget everything God has already carried us through. We forget the storms He has spoken to and calmed. When things feel the roughest, our instinct is to fix it ourselves, scramble for control, and try to do it our own way—only to make the burden heavier.
But if we pause, breathe, and turn our hearts toward Him, we remember that He has never failed us. Trust isn’t proven when everything is smooth; trust is proven when everything shakes. In the middle of your anxiety, your worry, or your fear, stop and declare: “I trust Him.” Listen to the Holy Spirit, not the noise of the world, and let God carry what you cannot.
Encouragement:
Today, stop and take a breath. Give God the fears you’ve been holding. He has brought you through every season before, and He will not abandon you in this one. Walk forward with confidence, knowing that He is right beside you—and He will carry you through.
