What Truly Matters

Scripture (CJB):

“So then, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

—Romans 12:18

Reflection:

What truly matters in this world isn’t possessions. It isn’t what we can buy for people, impress them with, or even do for them in a worldly sense. What truly matters is what we pour into people.

I remember when I first found my way back to Christ. I went to church alone for a long time. I didn’t push, didn’t pressure—because faith has to be real, and it has to be ready. Over time, God did what only God can do. Through loving friendships and gentle invitations, my wife found her own way to church. Then one day, when I was unable to go, she even went without me. And when I needed someone to speak life and truth into me the most, she was the one God used.

Then my son gave his life to Christ. And now—by simply living out his faith—he’s inviting others. His friends, their families and Children are starting to attend. What started with one “yes” to Jesus is now touching generations.

That’s when it really hit me: this is what matters. The love of Christ lived out. Not loudly. Not forcefully. But faithfully. A love that multiplies. A legacy that outlives us.

Encouragement:

Your life in Christ carries a reach you may never fully see. When you walk in obedience, when you love like Jesus, when you simply say “yes” to Him—God does the multiplying. Long after we’re gone, His love continues through lives changed, families restored, and generations impacted. Stay faithful. What you’re pouring out in Christ matters more than you’ll ever know.
