What’s It Worth?

Scripture (CJB):

“Look around you at the birds flying about! They neither plant nor harvest, nor do they gather food into barns; yet your Father in heaven feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they are?”

— Matthew 6:26 (CJB)

Reflection:

Every day we pour our time, our energy, and our strength into something. Work, sleep, chasing goals, securing stability. But when we step back and ask the hard question—what’s it worth?—we begin to see the difference between what fades and what lasts.

Houses crumble. Cars rust. Money gets spent or forgotten. A couple generations from now, the things we accumulated won’t be remembered by name. But the love you pour into your spouse, your children, your brothers, your sisters, and the people God places in your path—that echoes into eternity.

The love someone once poured into you helped turn your heart toward Christ. And now that same love is flowing through you into others. That’s legacy. That’s eternal wealth.

And sometimes God places you exactly where He seems absent so that His presence can show up through you. If every believer only worked in faith-based environments, no space would ever be transformed by the light of Christ. Sometimes the very place that feels spiritually dry is the place God has called you to water.

So ask yourself again: What’s it worth?

Beyond the paycheck… beyond the tasks… beyond the daily grind… what eternal value are you adding where you stand?

You have a daily calling—to carry Christ’s love into every room, every workplace, every conversation. And when you do that, your life becomes worth infinitely more than anything this world can measure.

Encouragement:

Brother, your work is not wasted. Your love is not forgotten. Your faithfulness has eternal weight. Keep shining where God has placed you—because that is where lives are changed, hearts are softened, and Christ is revealed.

The goal after everything I've done from my past, is to bow before the lord and hear the words from the one who speaks and light exploded the universe into being..."good and faithful servant i am well pleased"
