You become what you behold.
Scripture:
“So we all, with unveiled faces, see as in a mirror the glory of the Lord; and we are being changed into His very image, from one degree of glory to the next, by Adonai the Spirit.”
— 2 Corinthians 3:18 (CJB)
Reflection:
What we constantly focus on eventually shapes who we become. If our eyes stay fixed on fear, anger, pride, or the things of this world, those things begin to mold our hearts and minds. But when we behold Christ — His love, His truth, His mercy, and His character — we begin to reflect Him more and more.
The world tells us to chase status, approval, and temporary pleasure. God calls us to fix our eyes on Him. The more time we spend in His presence, in His Word, and walking with Him daily, the more our thoughts, actions, and hearts begin to change.
You don’t drift into becoming like Jesus. You become like what you consistently behold.
Encouragement:
Today, guard your focus. Fill your eyes, heart, and mind with the things of God. Spend time with Him before spending time with the noise of the world. What you behold today will influence who you become tomorrow.
