You Will Be Tested
Scripture (CJB)
“Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds; for you know that the testing of your trust produces perseverance.”
— James 1:2–3
Reflection:
When you speak about trust…
You will be tested.
Not always by fire from heaven.
Not always by some dramatic spiritual attack.
Sometimes it’s just life.
You talk about trusting God — then you lose your wallet.
You declare confidence — then an 18-wheeler misses you by inches.
You believe you’re healed — then your arm flares up again.
One thing after another.
And in that moment, you have a choice.
Panic… or peace.
Chaos… or calm.
Scramble… or stand.
Trust doesn’t mean problems stop.
Trust means you stop letting problems control you.
Losing a wallet? Temporary.
Cards locked. IDs reordered. Done in 20 minutes.
No chaos. No meltdown. Just action.
Almost hit on the highway? Protection.
Thank Him. Move forward.
Arm hurting? Be wise. Take care of it.
But don’t let pain dictate your posture.
If something is temporary, don’t turn it into something permanent by your reaction.
When we lose calm, we scramble.
When we scramble, we create chaos.
When we create chaos, we compound the problem.
But when we trust — we respond instead of react.
You don’t stop at the hurdle.
You go over it. Around it. Through it.
He will show you the way — but you must stay steady enough to see it.
Encouragement:
You will be tested.
Not to destroy you.
But to reveal what’s really in you.
If you say you trust Him — then trust Him.
Through inconvenience.
Through close calls.
Through pain.
Through piling pressures.
Do the next right thing.
Address the hurdle.
Move forward.
No chaos.
No wavering.
Just trust.
He’s got you.
