Your past doesn’t define your ending
Scripture:
“Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (CJB)
Reflection:
That sign speaks a truth many of us need to be reminded of: you can’t go back and rewrite the beginning of your story… but you can start right where you are and change the ending.
Your past—your failures, your wounds, your missteps—may explain where you’ve been, but they never have the authority to decide where you’re going. In the hands of Adonai, your story can take a turn at any moment. The enemy loves to chain people to their history, but God specializes in giving people a future.
What matters most is not how you started… but how you finish. And the finishing line is shaped by the choices you make today. If you give God your “right now,” He will redeem your “back then” and reshape your “what’s next.”
Encouragement:
Take heart—your story isn’t over. Start fresh today. Walk forward with the God who restores, renews, and rewrites endings. And let the legacy you leave be a testament not to where you came from, but to Who carried you home.
